James M. Ronan, Jr.

James M. Ronan, Jr., is a Senior and Founding Partner of Ronan, Tuzzio & Giannone. He graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame in 1973 and graduated cum laude from Villanova Law School in 1976. He served as Associate Editor for Villanova Law Review.

Mr. Ronan clerked for the Honorable Clarkson S. Fisher, Sr., United States District Judge for the District of New Jersey. He became an associate and then partner at Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla and later joined Donington, Karcher, Salmond, Ronan & Rainone before establishing Ronan, Tuzzio & Giannone in 1995.

Mr. Ronan has served as President of Haydn Proctor Inn of Court of the American Inn of Court, Chairman of the Legal and Forensic Expert Committee for Monmouth County and Member of the District Attorney Ethics Committee and Judicial Appointment Committee for Monmouth County.

He has achieved an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell as well as inclusion in “Who’s Who in American Law.” Mr. Ronan has taught at the Civil Trial Advocacy Workshop and lectured at numerous seminars for Trial Attorneys of New Jersey, New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education and other professional organizations.

Mr. Ronan serves as Municipal Prosecutor for the Borough of Shrewsbury and the Borough of Rumson. He also serves as Legal Counsel to the Bio-Ethics Committee for Monmouth Medical Center. He remains active in many civic and community affairs and was inducted into the Shore Regional High School Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame.

Mr. Ronan specializes in defending complex and serious personal injury matters, particularly in the field of medical malpractice. He has tried innumerable cases to jury verdict and has successfully participated in a number of Appellate matters, including Geler v. Akawie, James v. Torres, Haynes v. Ethicon, Marsella v. Monmouth Medical Center, Galvin v. Deutsch and Ryan v. Renny.

Michael K. Tuzzio

Michael K. Tuzzio

Michael K. Tuzzio is a Senior and Founding Partner of the Law Firm. Mr. Tuzzio graduated from Rutgers College with Honors in 1980, earning the James Suydam Award for Best Essay by a Rutgers College Senior. He proceeded on a scholarship to Seton Hall University School of Law from which he graduated in 1983. He was admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey in December 1983. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and to the Third Circuit.

Prior to the formation of the Ronan, Tuzzio & Giannone firm, Mr. Tuzzio was a partner with the Donington, Karcher firm. He was previously associated with Pitney, Hardin, Kipp & Szuch and Morgan, Melhuish. Mr. Tuzzio clerked with the firm of Carpenter, Bennett & Morrissey and for the late Honorable Arthur S. Meredith, J.S.C.

Mr. Tuzzio has tried over 75 cases to verdict. He has specialty in defense of general liability, professional malpractice, product liability and insurance coverage. He has argued or participated in numerous successful appellate matters resulting in reported opinions including James v. Torres, Feldman v. Lederle Laboratories, Malin v. Union Carbide, Lewis v. Hopewell Valley Racquet Club, Boyson v. Archer & Greiner and Myrick v. Resorts International.

Mr. Tuzzio is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell. In 2001, he was named a Trustee of the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey. In 2004, he was elected to the American Board of Trial Advocacy. He has lectured to the bar, law schools and the insurance industry on a variety of topics.

Robert A. Giannone

Robert A. Giannone

Robert A. Giannone is a Senior and Founding Partner of Ronan, Tuzzio & Giannone. Mr. Giannone graduated cum laude from Fordham University in 1977 and graduated cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law in 1980. He is admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey and the State of New York, as well as the United States District Court.

Mr. Giannone clerked for the Honorable Murray G. Simon, J.S.C., in Essex County Superior Court and was a Barrister for the Richard J. Hughes American Inn of Court.

Prior to the formation of Ronan, Tuzzio & Giannone, Mr. Giannone was a partner with the Donington Karcher law firm. He had previously been a partner with Conway, Reiseman, Mattia & Sharp.

Mr. Giannone has tried numerous cases to verdict. He specializes in the defense of significant personal injury and medical malpractice claims and has represented hospitals, nurses, physicians and other health care workers from over thirty hospitals throughout the State of New Jersey.

Mary Ann Nobile Wilderotter

Mary Ann Nobile Wilderotter

Mary Ann Nobile Wilderotter is a Partner and Senior Trial Counsel of Ronan, Tuzzio & Giannone. Ms. Wilderotter graduated magna cum laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1985 and from Rutgers University School of Law in 1989. She is admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey and the State of New York, as well as the United States District Court.

Ms. Wilderotter has tried over 150 cases to verdict and has successfully participated in a number of Appellate matters. She specializes in the defense of significant personal injury and medical malpractice claims and has represented nurses, physicians and other health care providers from various hospitals and health care facilities throughout the State of New Jersey.

Linda A. Olsen

Linda A. Olsen

Linda A. Olsen is a partner of the Law Firm. Ms. Olsen graduated from Muhlenberg College in 1977 and from Seton Hall University School of Law ins 1980. She was admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey in December 1980. She is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and to the Third Circuit.

Prior to the formation of the Ronan, Tuzzio & Giannone firm, Ms. Olsen was a partner with Hoagland, Longo, Oropollo & Moran. She was previously associated with Harwood Lloyd. Ms. Olsen clerked for the late Honorable Harry V. Osborne, Jr., J.S.C.

Ms. Olsen has specialty in defense of general liability, professional malpractice, nursing home, employment discrimination and other discrimination matters, automobile liability, premises liability and construction defect cases. She has lectured to the insurance industry on a variety of topics.

Gregory W. Boyle

Gregory W. Boyle

Gregory W. Boyle is a partner in the Law Firm of Ronan, Tuzzio & Giannone. Mr. Boyle graduated from the University of Scranton in 1986. He proceeded on to Seton Hall University School of Law from which he graduated in 1991. He was admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey in December 1991. Prior to joining the law firm of Ronan, Tuzzio & Giannone, Mr. Boyle was associated with Wolff, Helies & Duggan. Mr. Boyle clerked for the Honorable James D. Clyne, J.S.C., the Honorable Edward J. Turnbach, J.S.C., the Honorable James P. Courtney, J.S.C. and the Honorable Robert A. Fall, J.S.C.

Mr. Boyle has specialty in defense of automobile negligence, general liability, professional malpractice, construction defect, product liability and insurance coverage. He has tried several cases and argued or participated in numerous successful appellate matters. He has lectured to several insurance carriers on a variety of topics.

Anthony M. Tracy

Anthony M. Tracy

Anthony M. Tracy is a partner of the Law Firm. Mr. Tracy graduated from Bucknell University in 1987, and then attended Seton Hall University School of Law from which he graduated in 1990. He was admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey in December 1990. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Prior to joining the Ronan, Tuzzio & Giannone firm, Mr. Tracy was associated with the firms of McDonough, Korn & Eichhorn and Grossman & Kruttschnitt. Mr. Tracy also served as Law Clerk for the Honorable James M. Havey, P.J.A.D., of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division.

Mr. Tracy has specialty in defense of professional malpractice including the defense of physicians, nurses and hospitals, nursing homes, product liability, premises liability and general liability including automobile and other vehicle liability. He also has argued or participated in numerous successful appellate matters.

Lauren H. Zalepka

Lauren H. Zalepka

Lauren H. Zalepka is a partner of the Law Firm. Mrs. Zalepka graduated from Providence College in 1989 with a B.A. in Economics, and then attended Widener University School of Law from which she graduated magna cum laude in 1992. She was elected a member of the Moot Court and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies. She was admitted to the Bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1992 and admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey in 1995. She is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Prior to joining the Ronan, Tuzzio & Giannone firm, Mrs. Zalepka was an Assistant District Attorney for the City of Philadelphia. Mrs. Zalepka also served as Law Clerk for the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Zalepka specializes in the defense of medical malpractice claims including the defense of physicians, residents, nurses, hospitals, and nursing homes. She has argued or participated in numerous successful appellate matters and often provides lectures or “mock trials” for nurses, residents, physicians, hospitals, risk managers and nursing home employees/administration on a variety of topics including the state of the applicable malpractice law, significant issues in medical documentation and how to protect against a medical malpractice claim.

Mrs. Zalepka is a past President of the Monmouth Regional High School Parent Teacher Association where she founded the Special Education Parents Committee. She actively supports the ARC of Monmouth County and many other non-profit organizations dedicated to improving the lives of families affected by intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Henry P. Butehorn

Henry P. Butehorn

Henry P. Butehorn is a partner of the Law Firm. Mr. Butehorn graduated from Widener University in 1995. After graduation he attended Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware on an academic scholarship, graduating magna cum laude in 1998. During the course of his law school career Mr. Butehorn was awarded multiple academic awards, was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, and an Articles Editor for the Widener Law Symposium Journal (now known as the Widener Law Review).

Mr. Butehorn is admitted to the State Bar in the State of New Jersey and the State of New York and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Prior to his association with Ronan, Tuzzio & Giannone Mr. Butehorn was a law clerk to the Honorable E. Benn Micheletti, J.S.C. Since joining the Firm, he has engaged in various areas of practice including general liability defense, automobile liability defense, and was an associate municipal prosecutor. For the past five years he has concentrated his practice in the area of medical malpractice defense representing various hospitals and medical providers.

Mr. Butehorn is a member of the Monmouth County Bar Association, is a published author and commentator, and works to advance the causes of several charitable and other organizations within the State.

Edward H. Kerwin

Edward H. Kerwin

Edward H. Kerwin is a partner of the Law Firm. Mr. Kerwin graduated from Rutgers College in 1995 with a double Major in History and Political Science. As part of a research seminar Mr. Kerwin interned at the Middlesex County Prosecutors Office in 1994. The research project resulted in the publishing of “The Police Corps: Researching Teaching and Teaching Research" by Milton Heumann. Mr. Kerwin was a Member of the Golden Key National Honor Society while at Rutgers College.

Mr. Kerwin graduated from Rutgers University School of Law-Newark in 1999. He was admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey in December 1999. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Prior to joining the firm of Ronan, Tuzzio & Giannone, Mr. Kerwin was with the Union County Counsel office in Elizabeth New Jersey. While with Union County Counsel Mr. Kerwin duties included advising the Freeholder Board on legal issues, reviewing and preparation of contracts, and participating in a variety of litigation including employee discrimination, administrative hearings, inmate rights, and public election procedures.

Since joining the firm, Mr. Kerwin has practiced primarily in defense of general liability, auto liability, professional malpractice, PIP, product liability and insurance coverage. He has also participated in successful appellate matters resulting in reported opinions, including James v. Torres.

Michael B. Kelly

Michael B. Kelly

Michael B. Kelly is a partner of the Law Firm. He graduated from Denison University in 1987 and St. John’s University Law School in 1990. He was admitted to Bar of the State of New Jersey in December, 1990 and the Bar of the State of New York in 1991. He is also admitted to United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey, the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of the State of New York.

Prior to joining Ronan, Tuzzio & Giannone, Mr. Kelly was associated with the firm of Connors & Connors, and a partner in the law firms of Fisher Fallon, LLP and Crispi & Kelly.

Mr. Kelly has specialty in defense of general liability, professional malpractice, product liability and insurance coverage. He has tried numerous cases to verdict and has argued or participated in several appellate matters. Mr. Kelly is a past member of the Executive Committee of the Trial Lawyers Section of the New York State Bar Association and has lectured at seminars sponsored by the Trial Lawyers Section.

Marie A. Accardi

Marie A. Accardi

Marie A. Accardi is an associate of the Law Firm. She graduated from Douglass College, Rutgers University in 1985, and Seton Hall School of Law in 1990. She was admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey in December 1990. She is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Prior to joining Ronan, Tuzzio & Giannone, Ms. Accardi was associated with the firm of Evans, Osborne & Kreizman. Ms. Accardi clerked for the Hon. Julia A. Ashbey, J.A.D., of the Appellate Division.

Ms. Accardi has a specialty in defense of general liability, professional malpractice, products liability and insurance coverage issues. She also has background in personal injury work. She has tried cases to verdict and has argued and/or participated in many appellate matters, including the reported decision of James v. Torres. Since 1999, Ms. Accardi has been a Trustee of the Monmouth Bar Association and Co- Chair of the Civil Practice Committee since 2005. She has served a lecturer for the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education on civil practice matters. Ms. Accardi was appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court in 2005 to serve as a member of the District IX Ethics Committee.

Til J. Dallavalle

Til J. Dallavalle is an Associate of the Law Firm. Mr. Dallavalle graduated from Seton Hall University in 2003. He then attended Syracuse University College of Law and graduated in 2006. During his time there, he excelled in trial advocacy and won the unprecedented awards of both Best Advocate and Best Final Round Advocate in addition to finishing in First Place in the Mackenzie Trial Competition.

Mr. Dallavalle was admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey in December 2006 and the Bar of the State of New York in January 2007. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Dallavalle worked with the civil defense firm of Eschen, Frenkel, Weisman & Gordon where his practice focused on insurance defense, motor vehicle liability defense, no-fault arbitrations and contested mortgage foreclosures.

Mr. Dallavalle has successfully litigated numerous New Jersey No-Fault arbitrations and also specializes in guardianship actions, automobile insurance defense, PIP, wills and real estate transactions.

John M. Hockin, Jr.

John M. Hockin, Jr., is an Associate of the Law Firm. Mr. Hockin graduated from Rutgers University in 2004. Thereafter, he attended Seton Hall University School of Law from which he graduated in 2007. He was admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey in December 2007. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Hockin clerked with the Honorable Louis F. Locascio, J.S.C., at the Monmouth County Vicinage. Throughout college and law school, Mr. Hockin was a clerk at the law offices of McKenna, DuPont, Higgins, & Stone in Red Bank.

Since joining the Firm, Mr. Hockin has concentrated his practice on defense of general liability, professional malpractice, hospital and nursing home liability, and contractor liability.

Thomas F. Rinaldi

Thomas F. Rinaldi

Thomas F. Rinaldi joined the Firm in 2011 as an Associate in the Medical Malpractice and General Commercial Litigation groups. Prior to joining Ronan, Tuzzio, & Giannone, he clerked in the Superior Court of New Jersey for the Honorable Daniel M. Waldman, J.S.C., for the 2010-2011 term.

In 2007, Mr. Rinaldi received a B.S. in Financial Economics from UMBC. He received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, in 2010 from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he served as an Editor of the Seton Hall Legislative Journal and a Member of the Interscholastic Moot Court Board. During law school, he participated in the Seton Hall Impact Litigation Clinic where he successfully argued the matter of Williams v. Wood before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Mr. Rinaldi serves as the Firm's representative as General Counsel to the American Association of Hospital & Healthcare Podiatrists.

Mr. Rinaldi is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey and the State of New York.

Graziella Tesauro

Graziella Tesauro

Graziella Tesauro is an Associate of the Firm. Ms. Tesauro graduated magna cum laude from New York University in 2005. She received her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Pace University School of Law in 2009. Ms. Tesauro was admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey in December 2009 and the Bar of the State of New York in February 2010.

Prior to joining Ronan, Tuzzio, & Giannone, Ms. Tesauro was an Associate at the civil defense firm of Martin, Clearwater & Bell in New York City where her practice focused on medical malpractice litigation. Since joining the Firm, Ms. Tesauro continues to concentrate her practice on medical malpractice defense in addition to the defense of general liability matters.

Lauren Chaump

Lauren Chaump

Lauren E. Chaump is an Associate of the Law Firm. She graduated summa cum laude from Monmouth University in 2005, and Widener University School of Law in 2008. She was admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey and U.S. District Court of New Jersey in 2009.

Prior to joining Ronan, Tuzzio & Giannone, Ms. Chaump was an Associate with the civil defense firm of Campbell, Foley, Delano & Adams in Asbury Park, where her practice focused mostly on insurance defense. She has tried several cases to verdict and argued appellate matters. She clerked with the Honorable Bette Uhrmacher, J.S.C, at the Monmouth County Vicinage. Throughout college, she was a clerk at the law firm of Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla PC; throughout law school, she clerked for the legal department of NBC News, the law firm of Resnikoff, Resnikoff, & Witek, as well as the Honorable Paul F. Chaiet, J.S.C., and Honorable Thomas F. Scully, J.S.C., at the Monmouth County Vicinage.

Ms. Chaump is a member of the Young Lawyers Committee of the Monmouth County Bar Association. Since joining the Firm, she continues to concentrate her practice on insurance liability defense in addition to the defense of general liability matters.
